(St.Catharines, Canada, 1959) È Jonas Robitscher Professor of Law e Director of Center for the Study of Law and Religion alla Emory University di Atlanta. Spe­cia­liz­zato in storia del diritto e della libertà reli­giosa, è autore di numerosi scritti, tra i quali From Sacrament to Contract: Marriage, Religion, and Law in the Western Tradition (1997) e Re­ligion and the American Constitu­tional Ex­per­i­ment (2000).
